July update

Hey everyone!!

This month has been absolutely crazy from traveling to squeezing in time with friends and family before I leave, it’s been nonstop! I’m officially just one month away from heading out, and I am so excited for what’s ahead.

I spent the 4th of July with my family at St. Simons Island in Brunswick, GA, and it was such a fun trip! I love the beach, so getting to relax and enjoy that time with my family was really special. I’ve also been keeping busy with work, babysitting, and dog sitting to help raise the funds I need and don’t forget that every bit helps, and I’m so thankful for the opportunities to prepare.

One of the sweetest moments this month was hiking Yonah Mountain with my mom, the views were absolutely breathtaking, and it was such meaningful bonding time together. Not long after, we took a big family beach trip, which was so rewarding. I got to spend quality time with relatives I don’t see often and make unforgettable memories before heading out for nine months.

Right after getting back, I had a reunion with friends from my dual immersion elementary and middle school. It meant so much to have one last get-together before we all start the next chapters of our lives.

This month hasn’t been without its tough moments though saying goodbye to some of my closest friends and family has been emotional. But even in the goodbyes, I feel such peace and excitement. I truly believe the Lord has something amazing ahead, and I’m ready and willing to be a vessel for His Kingdom.
